The Challenge
Design a logo and collateral for a technology company that wants to keep what they do private.
The Solution
I love mysteries, so when a client asked me to design a logo that wasn’t an obvious representation of the work they do, I got excited. In this case, the solution is a literal interpretation of the business name, “Unus Cygnus”, which means “One Swan” in Latin. After experimenting with various concepts combining a swan shape with the letter U, I landed on a minimal swan. The logomark can be used by itself, in various logo lockups, and in a badge that looks great on a hat, a sweatshirt, and of course on the door of an undisclosed location!
